Web Guild Stuff and More!
As I began my journey at Whoop, I was immediately introduced to the Web Guild where I became a true knight of the web. Alongside fellow guilders, I aimed to set new standards in web engineering by embracing cutting-edge technologies and tools. On this team, I learned to work more dynamically as my last co-op was very corporate, moving at a slower pace. At Whoop, I am committed to pushing the boundaries of creativity while effectively evaluating the pros and cons of each proposal to achieve optimal results.
Setting up Ladle
Researched, initialized, and deployed a new library for building reusable components.
Wrote my first industry YAML file to handle deployment in Circle CI.
Integrating Shadcn UI
Advocated and helped integrate this new UI library (my personal favorite) to ameliorate component development moving forward.
Implemented new custom "Whoopified" components such as a Toast, Accordion, and Separator.
Icon Laborer
Wrote python script to convert 350+ SVG icons to React components.
Developed dynamic reusable icon component.
Refined icons further and completed web guild tech debt.
The Architect
Wrote and implemented an RFC to entirely rethink business logic and presentation on the frontend to ensure best practices with our new backend-driven architecture.
Collaborated with teammates and outlined a streamlined workflow for retrieving data from the backend, validating the response, applying business logic and transformations, and then rendering the result to the end user.
Miscellaneous
Added amplitude tracking to our Trials app.
Resolved app notifications to make sure trial reminder shows up.
Implemented Join Flow & Trials app translations.
